Frequently asked questions

How are minutes counted?+
Per-minute billable duration starts when the call is answered and ends on hangup. Partial minutes round up to the next whole minute.
What happens when I run out of included minutes?+
You keep calling. Additional minutes are billed at your plan’s overage rate from your prepaid balance. We never silently disconnect a call.
What if my balance hits zero?+
New outbound calls are blocked with a clear "top up to continue" error; inbound calls still route through but bill from negative balance until the next top-up.
Can I switch plans mid-month?+
Upgrades are immediate and pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period — you keep the current month’s quota.
Is there a free trial?+
PAYG with 30 free minutes for first-time tenants. No credit card required.
Where are calls hosted?+
All inference (LLM, STT, TTS) runs on Hize hardware in the EU. Telephony via Telnyx Poland. No data sent to OpenAI/Anthropic by default.
Do you support custom voices or fine-tuned LLMs?+
Yes — available on Pro and Enterprise. We can train a native-quality voice in your target language or fine-tune on your conversation history.
What about VAT?+
hize is VAT-exempt in Poland (art. 113 of the Polish VAT Act), so no VAT is added: the price you see is the price you pay. Businesses in other EU countries account for VAT under the reverse charge.
